O fluxo volumétrico depende da diferença de pressão e da viscosidade do fluido as quais a válvula está operando (não compensada), isto é, a vazão regulada pode ser maior ou menor dependendo da variação de viscosidade ou temperatura do fluido ao longo do tempo. A válvula estranguladora de vazão em linha (STB-G1/4 (DV-08-A)) permite um ajuste e fechamento sensível de vazão, mediante ao projeto especial de fechamento (redução de vazão).
